Required education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Communication, or a related field.
Professional certifications in training, coaching, facilitation, or life skills education are considered an asset
Field of experience:
Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating youth-focused training programs.
Previous experience working with youth, vulnerable groups, NGOs, or community-based organizations is highly desirable.
Experience delivering both face-to-face and online training sessions is an asset.
Years of experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering soft skills, career readiness, employability, or life skills training.
Specific skills and competencies:
Strong understanding of workplace behaviors, employability competencies, and recruitment processes
Knowledge of CV writing, cover letter development, and interview preparation techniques
Strong knowledge of soft skills development and life skills methodologies
Ability to apply participatory, learner-centered, and experiential learning approaches
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to motivate, coach, and mentor youth from diverse backgrounds
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create an inclusive learning environment
Ability to adapt training approaches based on participants’ needs and learning levels
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage training sessions effectively
Computer skills:
Proficiency in Google workspace (Google sheets, Slides, Documents, etc…)
Job Description:The Soft Skills Trainer will:
Deliver high-quality soft skills and employability training sessions for youth participants through in-person and online formats
Facilitate interactive sessions that encourage participation, discussion, teamwork, and practical application of skills
Provide coaching and mentorship to participants to strengthen their confidence and career readiness
Encourage participants to apply learned skills through practical exercises, simulations, and real-life scenarios
Collect participant feedback and contribute to training evaluation processes
Maintain attendance records and submit required training documentation
Provide brief reports on training delivery, challenges, participant engagement, and recommendations
Coordinate with DOT Lebanon’s Learning and Field Teams regarding training schedules, participant needs, and required adjustments
Coordinate effectively with DOT Lebanon project teams to ensure smooth training implementation
Participate in trainer orientations, coordination meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions when required
Ensure compliance with DOT Lebanon’s policies, including safeguarding, protection principles, and professional conduct standards
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all participants
